AS IN, WHAT ARE YOU FOR? WHAT IS THE POINT OF YOU?
HAHA. I hope you know what I mean.
I have asked myself this over many years. It’s taken me a l o n g time to figure out and understand who I am and why I’m doing the thing I’m doing – and where it comes from.
And this is really useful for your career and life in general. No shit, Sherlock.
My mental make up is largely from my parents and how I was brought up, because…
- my mum is super-organised – there’s always process for doing things a certain way around the house, and you better make damn sure you’re doing it the right way 🙂
- my dad is keen to help to anyone that needed it (sometimes to his detriment), a very social guy, loves a laugh and a drink (too many over the years), but a happy chappie 🙂
And guess what? I literally am a combination of my parents… Yes, that’s right, I’m a sucker for “organised fun”.
And I’m not a you-do-it-like-this or an overly-happy-drunk kind of person. Honest, guv. Hmmm.
Do you think you are a product of your parents, family members or other people in your life?
