Problem-solving or decision-making WOOP template

If I have to solve a problem or make a decision and I’ve come up against a brick wall or resistance, I use WOOP (Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, Plan). It’s based on 20 years of research in the science of motivation.

It helps you set a specific wish and an outcome, as well as identifying the issues you may encounter and contingencies to put into place to deal with them.

It’s super effective at getting out of a hole and taking action.

Here’s a template (opens in browser/Notion), with full instructions, so you can duplicate it yourself and use it over and over to solve those lingering issues.
